New temporary home/ Nowy dom tymczasowy

Opiekuje sie pewnym starszym panem, wspolnie z jeszcze jedna osoba- Zoltanem z Wegier.

Since the beginning of February I live in Winchester , I miss the sea, but the job is here so I don't complain.Together with another carer (Zoltan from Hungary) I llok after an elderly gentleman in his own house. The house is amazing, huge, spacious and completely non- English ( well, maybe besides taps ;)) , located on a hill and if the weather is good I can see the Isle of Wight from my window. My room is on the south sunny side, overlooking a beautiful garden , room decorated in a sweet grandma style - I feel a bit like Karolina of Sleeping Hill ( so is called our street ) . There's not that much work too be done here and it's not too heavy , so I have nothing to complain about , on the contrary , but it feels a bit strange to live someone else's life. The family is very nice and there is nothing I lack of here , duszek is acting ;) I only have 2 hours daily to leave the house so city exploring is limited.
Fortunately Winchester is small - I can get everywhere on foot; despite the size of the place bears the proud name of city due to having Cathedral. Winchester developed on the site of a Roman settlement Venta Belgarum , and in XII and XIII centuries was the capital of England . One of the largest cathedrals in Europe is located here, with the longest Gothic nave from all European cathedrals. Another curiosity is King Arthur's Round Table , which is proudly presented in the main hall of the Castle, rumored to be a fake . Walking around the centre feels a bit like I traveled back in time and landed in the Middle Ages ;)
River Itchen crosses the city ( floods haven't missed us ), with very shallow and clear waters , thanks to which the area around Winchester is the largest manufacturer of watercress in the UK. The nearby village holds even an annual festival in honor of the healthy green plant :))
When it comes to going for walks it's mainly river and the surrounding hills , but I'm waiting for better weather.

Czasami trzeba zrobic kilka krokow wstecz, zeby ruszyc sie do przodu / Sometimes you have to do few steps back to move forward

We're back in Bournemouth, i must admit that it's a strange feeling to be back here. This time without clear plans for the future, opened to new challenges. Mamba got us safely on The Island  driven mostly by Luke. Mental change from right to left side it's not such a big problem as adjusting to drive on the narrow English roads, especially in our car which is not exactly small. Christmas were warm and I even found some daisies outside:)  Since my arrival it's been raining nearly constantly (we had maybe 3 sunny days) so i didn't have to many occasions for long walks. I hope this will change soon. It's time to start New Year - I wish it will positively surprise us all:)

Wspomnienie lata / Memories of the summer

Za oknem juz typowo zimowa aura, dzis nawet spadly pierwsze niesmiale okruchy sniegu. Wbrew pogodzie na blogu pojawia sie zdjecia z ostatnich dni lata  i niedzieli spedzonej w Zbytowej, w systemowym skladzie. Bylo wszystko, co potrzebne do niedzielnego sielankowego wypoczynku - Hanki warkoczy zaplatanie, radosne dzieci, odwiedziny w prawie gotowym juz domu, szczesliwy pies, dobre jedzenie zakonczone degustacja nalewki aroniowej oraz hit - ogromne slomiane gory!

Today I've seen the first shy dots of snow outside and the weather wants to say its time for winter. Despite the temperature I decided to put up some photos from last summer days and unforgettable Sunday in Zbytowa,  time spent with whole system. We had everything - pleats done by Hanna, happy children, visit in nearly finished house, happy dog, delicious meal finished with tasting of arony drinky, and the best - huge mountains of straw!

Lewitacja:)

BERLIN

Two weeks ago we took mom Dorota and autie Barbara to Berlin where they always wanted to go but it somehow didn't work out till now. Although one day wasn't enough time, we managed to see quite a bit. Below some pictures from the centre, few from East Side Gallery on the remains of Berlin Wall and form our favorite Kreuzberg.

Short holidays - part two: Donau and local Switzerland

Piekne widoki i formacje skalne. Wracajac zatrzymalismy sie tez w Szwajcarii saksonskiej i Dreznie (oczywiscie na poranna kawe z ciachem).

After our split up we felt so lonely;) we had to meet with companions again. We drove to small place near Linz, at a tiny lake where we agreed to sleep. There were 3 campings marked on the map so we didn't worry about the sleeping part. When we got there it turned out that the campings are not for tents and the dogs are not allowed so we had to quickly find somewhere else. We went to an amazing camping further down Donau and as we brought quite a bit of good food we thought we'll celebrate the meeting with good supper. They had some tables so we set everything up and as we were going to sit and enjoy the supper the rain came down so hard it wasn't wise to move anywhere else. Running away would have made us wet in just a few seconds. In the end we ate damp bread with olives from water and made our wine toasts standing. It was good anyway and luckily the hot water under the shower was really hot:) The next day our car became a dryer as well as sleeping quarters (by the way black cars are very good as dryers;)). After a very tasty breakfast we split up for the rest of our holiday, Anna and Seba cycled along the river all the way to Wien and we went to explore Czech Switzerland. Being in Germany and Austria we we couldn't resist morning Kafe und Kuche - coffee and cake, small ritual, the cakes are delicious there and they can easily replace breakfast. On the way to Czech we made a stop in few magical places along Donau - this river has unforgettable colour.
We tried  option of sleeping in the car just in case we have to one day - to avoid surprises and we got to like it so much that we spent the rest of our nights there. Comfortable, warmer then in tent, lots of space, teh only negative thing was that the dreams lots some of the vividness.
We found a nice camping place in the forest in Czech Switzerland, good base for long walks in the mountains and we had a great rest. Beautiful views and rock formations. On the way back we stopped in Saxon Switzerland and Drezno (to have morning coffee and cake of course).

If one uses the imagination it can be a palm tree./ Jesli wlaczy sie wyobraznie to moze byc palma.
