Villa General Belgrano is a lovely town situated in the middle of Sierras de Cordoba, most of it´s habitants are Germans, Swiss or their children which can be noticed in the character of the place. The main street is done to please the tourist and is very "wooden" - literally and metaphorically;) One has imression that this place isn´t real. We liked it, everything a bit more cleaner and more organised than the parts of Argentina we´ve seen so far, hammocks in the park by bus station, lots of goodies to eat, unfortunately a bit more expensive too. Strange feeling, as if we were back in Europe but still in the middle of Argentina.
The people of Belgrano brought some of their traditions over here, one of them Oktoberfest which started last Friday. I´ve never been on the original one even though it´s much closer than this one so we had to visit it at least once - drinking for the health of the family and friends:))
Today on the road again;) - this time to El Bolson which was going to be our first destination, we´ll see what awaits us there. First of all 24h journey on the bus!
Villa General Belgrano jest uroczym miasteczkiem polozonym w Sierras de Cordoba zamieszkanym glownie przez Niemcow, Szwajcarow lub ich potomkow co odzwierciedla sie w charakterze miejsca. Glowna ulica jest wykonana pod turyste i jest bardzo "drewniana" - doslownie i w przenosni;) Ma sie wrazenie, ze nie jest to miejsce realne. Nam sie podobalo, wszystko troche bardziej czyste i porzadne niz reszta Argentyny, ktora poki co widzielismy, hamaki w parku przy dworcu, duzo smakolykow, niestety troche drogo. Dziwne uczucie, troche jakby sie bylo z powrotem w Europie ale wciaz w srodku Argentyny.
Mieszkancy Belgrano przeniesli tu niektore swoje tradycje, miedzy innymi Oktoberfest ktory rozpoczal sie w ubiegly piatek. Nigdy nie bylam na orginalnym , choc duzo blizej od tego tutaj, trzeba wiec bylo wybrac sie choc raz - pilismy za zdrowie rodziny i przyjaciol:)))
Dzis znow w drodze;) - tym razem do El Bolson, ktore mialo byc naszym pierwszym celem, zobaczymy co nas tam spotka. Najpierw jednak 24godzinna podroz autobusem!
The first ones to dance after we came in was a traditional band from Malopolska, Poland.
Pierwszym zespolem, kotry sie zaprezentowal na scenie zaraz po naszym wejsciu byl zespol tanca ludowego z Maloposki:)
Necessary equipement - belt for a jug./ Konieczny rekwizyt - pas na kufel.
And that´s how it ends- with a beer belly and in a deep sleep!
A tak to sie konczy - piwnym brzuchem i pograzonym w glebokim snie!
